A teenager who was found unconscious in Burnham has died.

Emergency services, including police and paramedics, were called to Chapel Road on Friday after 5pm after a man was found unconscious.

The 19-year-old died at the scene.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We were contacted by the ambulance service shortly after 5pm on Friday, April 13, after a man was found unconscious at an address in Chapel Road, Burnham.

"Sadly the 19-year-old died at the scene.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."

A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We were called at 5pm to reports of someone not conscious or breathing in Chapel Road, Burnham on Crouch.

"An ambulance, rapid response vehicle, ambulance officer and East Anglian Air Ambulance attended.

"Sadly the patient, a teenage man, died at the scene. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends."
