Children were given the opportunity to hunt for Easter eggs in the one place that kids love the most - the toy shop.

Smyths Toys across the nation hosted Easter Egg hunts in their stores and the outlet at Rayleigh Weir retail park was no exception.

On Saturday, children and adults were invited to come into the store from 9am to 2pm to join in the fun and take part in this egg-citing event.

There was a whole bunch of delicious Easter eggs up for grabs and children scurried around to find the treats.

Kids were given a clue sheet from staff at the stores and used this to track down where the Easter bunny may have hidden their eggs.

Once they found their egg, they were able to eat it free of charge.

Children also entered a competition and were given a chance to win a free 10ft trampoline in the Rayleigh store.

There was also a LEGO Giveaway in stores on the day and children were given a free LEGO Chicken Man minifigure.

The team joined in with the children and helped them hunt out their Easter eggs.

Plenty of excited kids came to the store to hunt for the eggs.
