A RECRUITMENT firm hosted a cake sale and hat day to raise funds for a local charity.
Staff at AJ Chambers Recruitment, based in Bradley House, Locks Hill, Rochford, all donned hats of varying extravagance and tucked into some tasty cakes all in aid of Thundersley-based charity, Havens Hospice.
From sombreros to cowboy hats, and even a couple of Australian cork hats, staff embraced the theme as they sacrificed their good looks for a slightly sillier one on Thursday.
Havens Hospices provides hospice care for babies, children, teenagers and adults, plus their families who have been diagnosed with a life-limiting or serious illness.
The charity also encompasses Little Havens Hospice and Fair Havens Hospice, providing care for children and adults.
