THE MATCH: Canvey Island will fancy their chances of building on their good form when they visit Norwich United tomorrow.

The Gulls were convincing 2-0 winners against league leaders AFC Hornchurch last time out.

Only Bowers & Pitsea have outscored Canvey so far this term – with the Gulls striking the back of the net 45 times.

And their strikers will fancy their chances against the most porous defence in the league. Norwich have shipped 49 goals in their 21 matches to date and lie second from bottom.

The Norfolk outfit have won just two matches all season, although one of those was against second-placed Bowers at the end of September.

Danny Heale’s side will go into the clash aware that three more points are a must if they are to maintain their top two charge in the Isthmian North.

THE INSIGHT: “We were a bit disappointed with the weather on Tuesday and the postponement against Brentwood as we wanted to play,” said boss Heale.

“But we are good to go and we have that feel good factor at the moment.

“As a club in recent times we seem to do OK against the tougher teams and come unstuck at other times. It makes Saturday even more important. We must take full points otherwise it will be a real kick in the teeth.

“I spoke to Smallsy (Bowers boss Rob Small) about them and he said to not take your eye off the ball. There are no easy games and we must have the right attitude.”
