CROWDS braced the cold to come out to the Burnham Festive Fayre this weekend.
Burnham High Street was closed off on Saturday to make way for dozens of stalls, crafts and crowds of people wrapped up in coats and scarves to bring the Christmas spirit to the town.
The Burnham Carnival Committee, who organised the event, handed out cheques to ten charities from funds raised at the carnival and throughout the year, including Action For Family Carers, Farleigh Hospice, Burnham Primary School, Burnham Coastal Rowing Club and the Under 11s Rugby Club.
Caroline Sarychkin, of the committee, said: “It was marvellous and couldn’t have gone better.
“We had a great turnout, beautiful weather and a fantastic atmosphere. Everything went smoothly and people really enjoyed it.
"If the committee are asked to do it again next year, I’m sure we will.”
