GUESTS enjoyed a huge festive evening at the Bell Inn in Tolleshunt Major.

The pub held its Festive Fayre on Saturday September 2, welcoming crowds from the village and further afield.

There was a magnificent 20ft Christmas tree on the green beside Santa’s grotto, with a marquee filled with excited stall holders who showed off their home-made wares.

More store holders took up refuge in the pub itself, where there was a crafts table for children to let their creative imagination run wild with glitter.

There was a roaring BBQ outside which served the fabulous BBQ classics and succulent turkey, stuffing and cranberry rolls, available alongside “Spruced Up Hot Chocolate”.

More than 60 children came to visit Father Christmas to give him their letter, receive a present and have a photo opportunity on his sleigh with the reindeers, all compliments of The Bell Inn landlords Andy and Rosie Lodge.

Rosie said: “The whole community of Tolleshunt Major with visitors from further afield enjoyed a fantastic afternoon and evening of festive fun, happy children, delicious food, drinks and music to begin this Christmas season.
