Children in Noak Bridge are now able to enjoy a new range of modern, safe and challenging play equipment following a £44,000 refurbishment.
The dated play area in Willowfield has been replaced with a caterpillar-themed see-saw, an educational interactive play panel and a selection of swings. Visitors can also make use of new multi-play equipment which includes a slide and climbing panel.
The new design was chosen in consultation with the school council at Noak Bridge Primary School. Councillor Frank Ferguson, vice-chairman of Basildon council’s regeneration and environment committee, said: “Basildon Council is committed to making the borough a place where people want to live; and having pleasant parks and open spaces is key.”
