Roll over Beethoven because a tribute act is coming to town.

The ELO Encounter – described as the greatest tribute act to Jeff Lynne’s Electric Light Orchestra – will be wowing crowds at Maldon Town Hall.

All proceeds from the event will be going to Cancer Research.

Taking place on Saturday October 28 the show will be a seated event, cabaret style with tables and chairs.

There will also be room for people to get up and dance.

The live show features soaring strings, striking vocal harmonies and classic ELO hits.

Songs including Mr Blue Sky, Evil Woman, Telephone Line and Don’t Bring Me Down, will be performed throughout the evening.

The tribute band is made up of Jack Rownes on vocals and keys, Martin Donald on guitar and vocals, Simon Dove on drums and Simon Rownes on bass and vocals.

Jasmin Ali performs violin and vocals, Ezme is on the cello and vocals, Harry Rownes on sound and lights and Max Rownes on keys, vocals and graphics.

The show takes place at Maldon Town Hall on Market Hill on October 28.

Doors open at 7pm, with the show taking place from 7.30pm to 10.30pm.

Tickets cost £15 and a booking fee applies.
