A MUM has opened a new store in Burnham dedicated to children’s clothing.

Joanne Olliffe has opened JoJo’s on Burnham High Street, a store which is dedicated to selling “preloved” children’s wear and footwear.

Joanne held her official grand opening of the store on Friday September 29 with a coffee morning for Macmillan Cancer Support, joining stores and cafes across the country.

The new store raised a total of £73.18 for the charity.

Joanne was inspired to create a store focusing on children’s clothes to bring to the Burnham area.

She said: “It was a case of looking around and realising that in Burnham and the Dengie area there is no store or permanent place that really focuses on children’s clothes or toys.

“I’d seen a couple of other stores opening which brought in preloved items, and I thought to myself it’s something I’d like to do for the children of our area.

“My family and I have lived in Burnham for many years and love the high street, it just needed something that could help out families with younger children.

“We sell all different clothes and footwear for children from a few months old to 12 years, all of which is donated by various families and charities.

“The feedback so far has been so good and has really encouraged me.” The store on Burnham High Street is open from 10am to 4.30pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Visit www.facebook.com/jojosburnham.
