A SOUTHMINSTER businesswoman supporting women who have fought breast cancer is opening the doors to a new luxury boutique.

The Bra Consultancy was set up by Julie Blanche two years ago.

The business offers a tailored, personal bra fitting service to women across Essex, Suffolk and London, including those who have fought breast cancer, undergone mastectomies and had cosmetic surgery.

Now, Julie and the team are opening the doors to their very first boutique at White Elm Garden Centre, in White Elm Road, Danbury, on Saturday at 9.30am.

Launching during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the boutique will be open from 9.30am to 4.30pm every Monday to Saturday, and will be staffed by three fully trained bra fitters who are experienced at working with women who have undergone mastectomies and cosmetic surgery.

Among The Bra Consultancy team is Maggi Paul, who fought breast cancer and sought out Julie’s help after a mastectomy left her with low self-esteem and unable to go out.

After getting Julie’s help with correct bra fitting, and able to choose from a selection of beautiful lingerie, Maggi, of South Woodham Ferrers, has transformed her life.

Julie said: “We are really excited about opening our very first shop here in Essex.

“For the first time my clients will be able to see the range of bras we have on offer and combine their fittings and bra shopping in one place.

“White Elm Garden Centre is the perfect place for The Bra Consultancy’s first boutique.

“It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere with free parking, lots to do for the children including a petting zoo, other shops to browse through and a delicious place to enjoy tea, cake or lunch.”

Customers who bring along a promotional flyer to the opening will be entitled to 10 per cent off on The Bra Consultancy bras on the opening day.
