PRICEY: Maldon residents are significantly overpaying for their heating oil, a new study suggests
MALDON residents are overpaying as much as £226,000 for their heating oil, according to a new study.
The UK’s largest independent buying platform for heating oil BoilerJuice has carried out a study in which 1.6 million households in the country who rely on a heating oil tank to warm their homes.
The research reveals that many of the 5,926 heating oil households in Maldon are overpaying for their heating oil, and are collectively overpaying by £226,644. That amounts to £51 a year extra to heat a three bedroom home.
In Maldon, an estimated 4,444 – 75 per cent - heating-oil households are overpaying.
