A SOUTHMINSTER train has been cancelled following the death of a man hit by a train.
The man was struck by the train close to Chadwell Heath station, near Romford, this morning.
British Transport Police were called shortly after 9am along with crews from the East of England Ambulance Service.
Officers remain at the scene and are working to identify the man and inform his family.
The man’s death is not currently being treated as suspicious.
The 12.16pm Wickford to Southminster service has been cancelled as a result of the incident.
