YACHT club guests raises more than £700 for a nurses' charity at a concert.

Guests at the Royal Corinthian Yacht Club in Burnham helped to raise £750 for 'Support an Essex Admiral Nurse' (SEAN) in aid of Dementia UK at a concert by the 18-strong choir Harmony.

The choir, led by Natalie Bettany and accompanied by Esta Abbott, performed a selection of songs ranging from classics by The Carpenters to more contemporary arrangements by Radiohead.

Alongside the performance, artist Laura Bettany also performed several songs for the audience. The choir has received extremely positive feedback following the concert.

Sally Everitt said: “We had such a wonderful evening; the choir was superb and the harmonies were beautiful. It is obvious how closely the ladies work together and how much they enjoy performing.

"The venue was the perfect choice for the stylish group and the evening was further enhanced by Esta and Laura. We had a really lovely time.”

Natalie Bettany, Musical Director, said: “The concert was a huge success and I am delighted and proud that we have managed to contribute to this very worthwhile initiative. We are extremely grateful for the support we have received from the public at all our concerts and we will continue to perform in and around the community.”

More than £1750 has been raised for charity so far.
