AN INQUEST has opened into the death of a man who was found near the Mayland seawall in March.
Police discovered a body by the seawall in Mayland on March 8 this year, who they identified as Carl Matthams who had been missing from his home in the village since the day before.
At Essex Coroner's Court on Tuesday, an inquest was opened into the 47-year-old's death, with a provisional cause of death identified as an insulin overdose.
The inquest was adjourned with the full hearing taking place on September 18.
