STOW Maries Great War Aerodrome played host to a special ‘Day for Dads’ to mark Fathers’ Day on Sunday.
The historic aerodrome, in Hackmans Lane, Purleigh, held an event that featured fun activities including changing the wheel on a World War One Royal Flying Corps Light Tender and trying out a World War One flight simulator.
The ‘Day for Dads’ also saw live music, a BBQ, and a tour of the facilities, as families came out in force to mark the special day.
Chief Executive at Stow Maries, Ian Flint said: “We were very happy to see fathers of all ages enjoying the Aerodrome on Sunday.
“Music played throughout the day, with the barbeque and bar in full swing. This is a great way of showing the Aerodrome at its best, in the sunshine with lots of beaming children.
