FROM flying discs to waddling feet, the return of this year’s Blackwater Country Show was hailed as a huge success.
The annual show in Heybridge warmly welcomed thousands of visitors from miles around the entire county on Sunday, where the sun made the host of activities even more attractive.
There were birds of prey, ‘gentle-giant’ New-foundland dogs carrying out mock real time human rescue on the lakes with plenty of displays and demonstrations.
Horse lovers were drawn to the Main Ring to admire different breeds and colours of heavy horses in traditional braids and polished harness.
Craftsmen and local producers displayed many of their creations including flora and fauna, with home and garden country gifts.
