AN ARMED Forces Day will be held at a Great War aerodrome this weekend.
Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome will be holding a celebration event on Saturday to pay respects to the country’s armed forces.
The event will be one of the biggest armed forces gatherings in Essex, and will be free to enter for the public.
There will be a staggering amount of displays and interactive attractions to see throughout the day, including displays of air and land military vehicles, guided tours of the site, historical museums and a range of traders selling unique items and gifts.
The event begins at 11am and lasts until 3pm, with a parade and flag-raising ceremony at 1pm.
It will be a very special event in which the whole aerodrome will pay tribute to the country’s armed forces both old and young.
