GARDENERS are invited to learn how to make your own compost this weekend.

Expert composters will be visiting Maldon's Promenade Park on Saturday from 10am to 2pm to be on hand to offer advice on how to turn waste into an excellent, natural, soil improver which can be used to dress lawns, pot up plants, revitalise flowerbeds and mulched as a plant feed for vegetable patches.

One of the best ways to enjoy a bright and beautiful garden is to create and use your own compost, Vegetable peelings, leftover fruit and veg, old teabags and coffee grounds are the perfect ingredients to create rich nutritious compost which will help your garden grow and blossom.

The compost will be available form the park's team depot and people will be directed to where to pick it up from the park's entrance.
