A COUNCIL is calling on residents ideas to improve Riverside Park in Burnham.

As part of the Dengie Gateway Project, Maldon District Council is promoting Riverside Park as a visitor destination and gateway to Wallasea Island and the Saltmarsh Coast.

The Council will be making improvements to the park’s car parking, paths and signage and installing three visitor information points at the train station, town quay and Riverside Park.

A further £20,000 has been put aside to do something special in Burnham and the Council are looking for ideas from residents.

Several have already been submitted but the Council are keen to hear more before the April 30 deadline.

To submit your idea complete the questionnaire which can be found at Maldon.gov.uk/consultations.

Paper copies of the questionnaire are also available from the Council offices, in Princes Road, Maldon, and Tourist Information Centre, in High Street, Burnham.
