A GARDEN centre has raised more than £1,000 by hosting a quiz night.
Perrywood Garden Centre and Nurseries in Tiptree raised the money in aid of Greenfingers, a charity dedicated to building gardens in children’s hospices.
Around 120 people took part in the quiz night hosted in the garden centre’s coffee shop with a total of £1,155 raised.
Each team enjoyed a free cheese board and there were prizes for the winning team as well as a raffle.
Communications manager, Hannah Powell said: “Greenfingers is an excellent cause, gardens and outdoor space are very important for the families using hospices – both for therapy and relaxation. We are always happy to send money their way.”
