VISITORS were thrilled by vibrant science displays at the Museum of Power for its Science Sunday event, which saw displays of scientific experiments and demonstrations and a whole host of fun.

The museum in Langford has become well known for its family friendly open days, with a wealth of activities designed to get children interested in science and technology.

On the day, steampunk scientists Dean Allen Jones and Darren Gooding entertained children and adults with wacky and quirky experiments.

As well as the many hands on activities, a miniature steam engine exhibition took place and pot-pot boats steamed across the water in the museum's grounds.

Astaria, the museum’s model village, brought a sparkle to the day with Alan Walker and Dave Mead magically finding jewels behind visitors’ ears and within their hair.

Rounding off the day, there were rides on the miniature steam railway and a slice of homemade cake at the Steam Pump Tea Room.

Additionally, “Marshall” the Lilleshall pumping engine was run by AIR and other oil, with diesel engines running alongside.

The event was held over Saturday and Sunday and drew a huge crowd of people.
