YOUNGSTERS created rockets and spaceships as they got set to blast off at a space-themed event.
Maldon Library hosted the Lost in Space morning during February half term.
It saw a whole morning of activ- ities centred around planets and the stars.
Arty youngsters got to make their own slingshot rocket and take part in a quiz.
Hayley Holgate, who organised the event, said: “It went well and we had about 70 children, so it was very busy.
“It was called Lost in Space and we had craft activities where the children made their own slingshot rockets, spaceships and planets with spaceships orbiting them.
“We also had a quiz where they had to go round the library finding answers.”
