A POP-UP information stand will provide advice on dementia on Essex Dementia Day.
Maldon District Council is supporting the countywide initiative by having the stand at Blackwater Leisure Centre on January 20 from 9am to 12.30pm.
The day aims to raise awareness of dementia and work to transform the lives of people living with the condition.
Working with Essex County Council and Dementia Action Alliance, the council will also take part in a social media Thunderclap using the hashtag #EssexDementiaDay.
Ron Pratt, chairman of the community services committee, said: "I am pleased the Council is supporting Essex Dementia Day, it is important more people are aware of the effects of this condition and communities do what they can to support people with Dementia.
“If you are concerned about this condition or for a loved one do come along to the Blackwater Leisure Centre on Friday to find out more information and how you can help.”
Information will also be available from the Council Offices reception.
