DOZENS of Greater Anglia trains have been delayed or cancelled due to a car hitting a railway bridge.
The incident took place in Romford at about 7.30am this morning, and means all lines are currently blocked.
It means trains running between Southend Victoria, Clacton, Norwich, Braintree, Ipswich and Liverpool Street are either cancelled or could be delayed by up to 45 minutes.
A spokesman for the train operator says disruption is likely to continue until 10am, and added that tickets are being accepted on c2c rail services.
He said: "We are sorry if your journey is affected by this problem. Network Rail Engineers are working as quickly as possible to resolve this problem and restore a normal train service.
"If your journey with us has been delayed by 30 minutes or more, you may be entitled to compensation for a portion of your fare."
