PRINCE William is believed to have attended a crash in Danbury.

The East of England Ambulance Service was called to a collision in Danbury last night shortly after 6pm.

Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, who has a part time role as a pilot for the service, was reportedly spotted piloting the attending air ambulance.

A black BMW and a motocycle were involved in the collision, which took place on the junction of Maldon Road and Post Office Road in Woodham Mortimer.

The motorcyclist suffered several injuries and was taken to hospital.

A witness who was near the scene said they saw The Duke of Cambridge piloting the air ambulance.

An East of England Ambulance Service spokesman said: "We received a call at 6.17pm yesterday to a report of a collision between a car and motorcycle on the junction of Maldon Road and Post Office Road in Woodham Mortimer.

"A rapid response vehicle, ambulance crew and East Anglian Air Ambulance attended. An off duty paramedic was also on scene.

"They treated a man in his 20s who was taken to Broomfield Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.

"His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening."

The ambulance service would not say if Prince William was in attendence.

An Essex Police spokesman said: "A man has suffered head injuries after a collision between a car and a motorbike in Maldon.

"Police were called to Post Office Road just after 6.15pm yesterday.

"We are appealing for witnesses of the incident. Anyone with information should call PC Fiona Rayner on 101."
