FIREFIGHTERS attended a Maldon call as they fought to extinguish a fire started deliberately.
Crews were called to Stock Chase, Heybridge, on Monday night at 6.12pm after a fire had been started in a bush.
One fire engine attended from 6.38pm and the crew reported the incident as deliberate.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue said: “We were called at 6.12pm to Stock Terrace, Stock Chase.
“We sent one fire engine from Maldon Fire Station and by 6.38pm they said the fire was out.
“It involved a bush measuring about 3m2. They recorded the incident as deliberate.”
