ROTARY Club members in Maldon were part of the huge clean-up effort following this weekend’s V Festival in Chelmsford.
On Monday, members of Maldon Rotary Club collected dozens of abandoned sleeping bags, camping equipment, tents, chairs, food and bottled drinks that littered Hylands Park in Chelmsford.
One member, Geoff Dickman, said: “It was amazing to see so much new equipment, including tents and chairs and wellington boots etcetera, and food and bottled drinks abandoned. It’s amazing the amount of disposable income they have to be so wasteful.
“It’s borderline disgraceful and a very poor reflection on some of our young people.”
