HEAVY rainfalls have caused chaos across the Maldon District this morning.
A section of the A12 is flooded, with Essex Police warning drivers to avoid the area if possible and huge delays between Boreham and Ingatestone.
Reports have come in of many roads and gardens flooded in and around Heybridge, Wickham Bishops and Great Totham.
Curtis Apthorp shared a photo of Holloway Road, Heybridge, which had large build ups of surface water and has been closed.
Fellow Heybridge resident Tracy Gunn shared images of before and after her garden had been flooded.
The Met Office has issues a severe weather warning until Friday. Essex County Council are advising people not to travel unless absolutely necessary.
This was taken on Scraley Road in Heybridge, where an unfortunate Mini Cooper driver has been beached.

A spokesman for Essex Fire Service said: "The Service is still receiving a deluge of calls to flooding incidents following the heavy rain last night.
"Crews and officers will only attend flooding incidents where there is a risk to life and will not ordinarily attend incidents only affecting property.
"Householders are advised to make sure family members are safe before attempting to salvage household items."
