IT'S been a busy week for the Dengie 100 Runners.

Richard Carvey, Dionne Radley, Jenny Higgs and Richard See took part in the Tower of London 10k race, in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The race consists of ten 1k laps around the Tower.

Luckily the earlier torrential rain had stopped in time for the race.

Carvey clocked 57 minutes and 16 seconds, while See and Higgs both managed 28m 7s.

Dengie 100 Runner Steve Houghton took part in the first of five Essex cross-country 10k races at Hylands Park, in Chelmsford.

It was his first race since completing the London Marathon and he was very happy to achieve a personal best (PB) of 47m 32s, smashing his previous PB of 51m 2s.

On Sunday, five members ran in the Edmund Carr Great Baddow ten-mile race, which follows an undulating course through Great Baddow, Galleywood and West Hanningfield.

It was ideal running conditions not too hot with a slight breeze.

Dan Tunbridge managed 1h 27m 31s, Richard See 1h 27m 31s, William Radley 1h 1m 23s, Wendy Aldridge 1h 21m 48s and Emily de Orfe 1h 35m 55s.
