Thieves target church and steal collection money
CROOKS broke into a church vestry and stole collection money in Woodham Mortimer.
The incident happened at St Margaret's Church in Maldon Road between January 22 and 24.
The vestry was accessed by the bottom windows being smashed.
Damage was caused to drawers after was poured over them and a box of keys including the safe and rectory key were also stolen.
