THE Railway Hotel in Southend is a great supporter of quality live music and we’re really looking forward to coming back and rocking it again” said Left Lane Cruiser!

Yes, they liked the audience so much the last time, they’re coming back with their special blend of dirty country bluesy rock n roll outfit from Fort Wayne, Indiana.

Likened to “the Black Keys if they'd morphed into the MC5”

this deliciously raw sounding trio are Freddie J IV on vocals and guitars, Joe Bent on bass guitar and skateboard slide guitar – (yes, a skateboard) – and Pete Dio on drums and percussion.

They learned their craft by playing at house parties, at the corner streets of their home town, and rehearsing in a heater-less garage, so goes the tale, and that’s how they have developed their personal take on the North Mississippi Hill Country sound.

Since 2006 they have had eight studio releases, and have been signed to Alive Records since 2007. Their first nationally released albumwas on Alive Records, called Bring Yo' Ass to the Table.

Their third, All You Can Eat, was released in 2009, and one of its tracks, Waynedale, was used as a soundtrack to the television hit series Breaking Bad.

The gig takes place at the Railway Hotel, Clifftown Road, on Saturday.

Doors are at 8pm.
