A young woman diagnosed with ovarian cancer has selflessly raised more than £2,000 for charity, to thank those who supported her.
Elle Robertson, 20, of Tolleshunt D’Arcy, organised a Macmillan coffee morning with her friend Billie-Jo Nash, 25, of Mill Bridge in Witham.
The pair became friends three years ago through work at Latneys Boarding Kennels and Cattery, in Witham.
Miss Robertson was diagnosed in June with ovarian cancer, shortly before her 20th birthday, which is rare in women under the age of 40.
The event, at Valley Church in Guithavon Valley, Witham, on September 18, raised £631.15 for Macmillan.
