Controversial plans for housing have been given the go ahead despite numerous objections.
Braxted Park Estate gained planning permission for 14 new homes on land next to Lime Tree Cottages in Tiptree Road, Great Braxted.
The green light was given by Maldon District Council’s Area Committee for the North West after the council’s planning officers had recommended the application for approval.
Letters of objection from 32 households were sent to the council.
Among the concerns were increased traffic, an out-of-keeping design, lack of local services and facilities, plus surface water flooding.
