Leisure centre firm sorry not to open new flume this week
Swimmers will have to wait a little longer to try a leisure centre’s new flume.
People for Places (PfP), which runs Blackwater Leisure Centre, has apologised to the public after its flume failed to open this week.
The new flume is part of a £2million investment by Maldon District Council in the Blackwater Leisure Centre and Dengie Hundred Sports Centre in Burnham.
On its Facebook page, PfP stated: “The flume will not be open this week as the final works to the new installation have yet to be completed.
“We have an update for everyone on Monday June 29.
“We would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
