Budding primary school actors got a taste of Shakespeare when they tackled Macbeth.
The Freshwater Theatre Company visited St Nicholas Primary School, Tolleshunt D’Arcy, on Tuesday.
Workshop leader Annie Eddington took the children through their paces, getting them to mime words from one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.
Teacher Sarah McNeill said: “It was fantastic, they really got to play with vocabulary.
“It brought it to life for them for their first taste of Shakespeare.
“They loved it and thought it was much better than sitting in a classroom.
“It showed me they had a lot of drama skills and built up their confidence.
“It was really good fun.”
