A series of “thought-provoking” coastal walks could bring a boost to Burnham businesses, it is hoped.
The project, entitled The Lost Walks of Rochford, aims to bring together numerous towns and villages from both sides of the River Crouch.
The walks started last summer and there have already been seven walks so far this spring/summer, which sees groups enjoy the scenery all the way from Hullbridge, South Woodham Ferrers, North Fambridge, Burnham and Bradwell.
More are planned for June and July.
The walks were launched thanks to Rochford District Council’s former arts development officer Roxie Curry and artists Ali Pretty and Richard White, who have led the strolls.
Burnham district councillor Ron Pratt said: “They’re trying to invigorate the river and it’s something Burnham Town Council have talked about and are happy to support."
See the MBS for more details of the walks.
