A man has been taken to hospital after suffering an electric shock.

The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) received a call at 12.54pm yesterday to Kendal Close, Hullbridge.

A community first responder, an ambulance crew and ambulance officer attended to a workman, a man in his 30s, who had suffered an electric shock.

The man was conscious and breathing, but was suffering from shortness of breath and pins and needles.

He was taken to Southend University Hospital for further treatment.

His condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
