A 70-year-old will be petitioning people to help protect the NHS from privatisation in Maldon High Street tomorrow.
Alec Hopkins will be campaigning with group 38 Degrees against what it claims is the ongoing gradual privatisation of the health service.
He will be outside All Saints Church, from 11am.
Mr Hopkins, who also collected signatures in March, said he was: "Surprised how interested people were.
"I think most people do understand it, most people have had good experiences with the NHS."
