Competitors taking part in the Maldon Mud Race last year
Councillors have again agreed to back the Maldon Mud Race by giving organisers half the income the council makes from parking.
Maldon District Council has agreed to donate 50 per cent of its taking from Promenade Park car park when the event returns to town on April 26.
A report, discussed by the finance and corporate services committee, heard the rare move to share income would help support the event and encourage thousands to visit the town.
