A riverside lido could be on the cards for Burnham.

Discussions are underway about the possibility of establishing a lido in the River Crouch, which would be formed with brick walls retaining water.

Mayor Ron Pratt has already been directed to an organisation with a pot of money to help fund such ventures.

Mr Pratt said: “Having a lido would be a real attraction for the town.

“I would like to see one in Burnham.”
