Groups and individuals can be nominated in the Town Mayor of Maldon’s Award, which recognises people who have contributed to the town.
A council spokesman said: “There are so many people who give up much of their spare time to undertake voluntary work.
“This is an opportunity for such dedicated people to be recognised for their efforts.”
The award is only open to people or groups who are involved with community or charitable work based within Maldon.
The award will be presented by the current Town Mayor, Stephen Nunn, at the Annual Town Meeting to be held on April 14 in the Town Hall, Market Hill, Maldon.
The closing date for entries is March 20.
