A unique new choir is hoping to launch in the district for adult singers.
The idea of local women Natalie Bettany and Jo Richardson, the choir is specifically looking for people in Maldon or Burnham who can already read music or have the ability to follow sheet music.
An experienced conductor and accompanist are already signed up for the choir.
Jo said: “We want to produce a great sound, aim high and to have fun with a unique, capable, enthusiastic choir.
“We have asked for people who can read music, because we are teaching with a pianist.
“It makes us quite unique.”
Choir repertoire will cover a wide variety of genres, including pop, gospel, contemporary and a cappella.
There will be a free trial night on 10th March.
