This year’s annual Trolley Dash has raised a record of more than £530.
Gary Cable picked the winning ticket for the dash, organised by the Rotary Club of Burnham, at the Co-Op store, in Foundary Lane, Burnham on Sunday.
He nominated his wife, Julie, to take part and she made a fantastic effort, running with speed and style up and down the various isles to select items to cover all their needs plus a few luxury items.
In the three minute allocation, she achieved a total of £531.
Other winners of prizes in this annual draw were Mrs Giles, Mr B Cuttf, Mayumi Payne, Mr Cohen, Luan Davies and John Norden.
The funds from various events, like the Trolley Dash, enable Rotary to support local charities, such as Belarus Children’s Foundation Trust, British Red Cross, Burnham Museum, Dengie Project Trust, Jubilee Sailing Trust, Little Haven Hospice, Sight Savers, Stroke Association and the Teenage Cancer Trust, among others.
