LOCAL police community support officers are hoping to spread the message about ‘street meets’ which give residents a chance to raise any concerns.

PCSO Teresa Cocks, 54, a former teacher, based in Southminster visits seven villages around The Dengie meeting residents.

She enjoys the community aspect of policing.

She said: “It’s how much you put into it.

“I like going out and talking to the public, it makes me aware of what is happening.”

The next meet will be on Friday from 12.30-1.30pm outside the village shop, Main Road, St Lawrence.

Following that, the first meeting of 2015 will be on Tuesday, January 6, in the village hall car park, South Street, Bradwell, between 11am and 12pm.
