Concerned parents of a schoolgirl injured in a hit and run have been using social media to hunt for a boyracer.
James and Wendy Harrison’s 14-year-old daughter was walking along the pavement in Pantile Hill at about 8.15am last Thursday when a car mounted the pavement and its wing mirror “smashed” into her hand.
Despite shouting “you have hit me”, the young male driver, whose windows were all blacked out, carried on driving with his music blaring.
In his hunt for the driver, Mr Harrison, 43, posted on Twitter: “I want this person found.
“We will be going to the police with this as a hit and run accident is bad enough, but they had total disregard for my daughter."
An x-ray at A&E showed there were no broken bones, but the youngster's hand was badly bruised.
