A disabled man has installed CCTV amid claims he was refused a replacement garden gate because he “doesn’t live in the Bronx”.
John Cooper is fed up with petty thieves wandering into his garden after Moat housing association carried out work and failed to replace his gates.
About five years ago, Moat created a concrete driveway for him, but despite Mr Cooper’s repeated pleas, Moat has not put his gates back.
He said: “I have been complaining about the gates and I was told I don’t live in the Bronx."
A Moat spokesman said: “I’ve spoken to our neighbourhood teams in the area and new gates should have been installed once a partner organisation completed the new driveway.
“We will therefore begin the process of installing new gates immediately."
