Concerned villagers believe large housing plans will result in the “loss of the Dengie”.
Tillingham residents have started a poster campaign following a plan to increase the size of their village by 25 per cent with 90 new homes.
The campaign has been sparked by Gladman Developments submission of an outline application for up to 90 homes to the rear of The Corn Mill to number 97 and south of 97 in South Street.
Gladman’s proposal is one of many to be made in the Dengie in recent months.
In response, villagers have set up the Tillingham Action Group and are in the process of distributing flyers to every house in the village.
