A local woman has spoken of her amazement after an eye operation left her able to see colour again.
Pippa Fuller, 60, of Courtland Place, Maldon, a former NHS worker, had an operation on her right eye six weeks ago to combat glaucoma in her eye.
She had several cataracts removed at the same time and a new lens inserted.
Her eye has adjusted and she cannot wait to have the procedure repeated on her left eye.
She said: “Where there were grey skies there are now blue and colour is amazing.”
Pippa’s glaucoma was detected in 2009 and she had surgery on September 30.
