Proud residents and locals have spoken of their pride after Burnham was named one of the top 20 coastal towns in Britain.
It was rated number 12 in a list of the best coastal towns by The Telegraph and appeared above Poole in Dorset and Looe in Cornwall.
It was described as “a delightful, self-contained small seaside town with everything going for it: schools, supermarkets, a sailing club and a cinema,” with the quay front and conservation area named the best areas.
