A MOTHER has paid tribute to her son who lived life to the full.

Kieran Ansell, 25, of Elysian Gardens, Tollesbury, died after the Audi A3 he was in left the road and collided with a tree in Woodrolfe Road at about 12.45am on Sunday, October 19.

Kieran grew up in and around Maldon attending Plume School and Colchester Institute.

He also had family in Colchester.

He worked in the building industry as a roofer.

The Arsenal fan who loved football and played for Heybridge Youth was also a keen fisherman and a regular at the gym.

His mother said "His heart was in the right place. He’d always see the best in everyone, and was prepared to help anyone. He lived life to the full.”

He leaves his mother, father, together with his step father, three brothers, three sisters, and three step-brothers.

An 18-year-old man from Colchester who was also in the vehicle was taken to Broomfield Hospital for treatment to leg injuries.

An inquest in to Kieran’s death will be opened in due course.

Friends have also been sharing their memories.

More than a dozen bunches of flowers have been left at the scene.

One tribute read: "Heaven has gained another angel/ Your life was taken too soon.

"You may have left us but you will never be forgotten as you left so many memories behind for us all to make us laugh and smile every day."

Another said: "R.I.P. angel thoughts are with your family at this sad time.”

Police are investigating the cause of the crash near Tollesbury Marine.
